ECU and Partners awarded $1.25 million Golden LEAF Foundation grant

 

The Golden LEAF Foundation has announced the award of a $1.25 million grant to support an Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Academy (AMIA), a comprehensive, hands-on program designed to train students for advanced manufacturing and entrepreneurial jobs with the ultimate goal of economically transforming Eastern North Carolina, effectively creating a robust education-to-workforce pipeline. Partners in the grant are East Carolina University, Pitt County, Pitt County Schools, Pitt Community College, Beaufort County Schools, North East Carolina Preparatory School, STEM East, and area economic developers and manufacturers.
