Telemedicine & Advanced Research Center of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command

This office, established in 1998 as part of the U.S. Army, researches and develops new approaches for the medical needs of soldiers in war and after deployment.  The office focuses on health information technology, telemedicine, medical training systems and computational biology. This office also promotes and manages science and engineering work in other key areas. Its work focuses on the medical needs of soldiers, but research results many times have wider civilian uses. It supplements the core medical research taking place at other agencies.
