Heart Rate Biofeedback

Soldiers endure long hours at a high state of alertness, often in conditions stress their bodies and minds. When they return, they may experience ongoing physical symptoms, known as medically unexplained physical symptoms or MUPS, which appear to have no specific cause, such as headaches, fatigue, memory loss, insomnia, digestion problems and weight changes.  This study uses biofeedback training to assist Marines gain control over some nervous system functions. The study will determine the benefits of biofeedback training for the body and mind.
